tomato jam from bittman @ the nyt. perhaps this is a way to ease into the canning world?

yeah that does look really good - I imagine it excellent on salted cod. and it looks easy - I think I could do this easily. the ginger sounds really interesting.

you should put this on the heirloom tomatoe group since you are the culinary advisor.
